Mehr als 10 Tage war Werner unterwegs, dann hatte er Paris erreicht; die Wette war gewonnen. Und so wurde durch die Fahrt mit dem Tretroller die historische Verbindung Paris-Oberkail- erneuert, wenngleich an dieser Erneuerung weder Könige noch Kaiser, weder Kanzler noch Präsidenten beteiligt waren. Es war halt eine „Grand Verschwisterung" zwischen einem lustigen Oberkader Burschen, einem Tretroller und der Weltstadt Paris, die dann später von der gesamten Dorfgemeinschaft begeistert aufgenommen und per Rundfunkwellen in den Äther hinaus verkündet und damit unvergesslich wurde.
